Remote Access to Library Resources

Accessing library resources from off-campus

The library’s collection of databases, electronic journals, electronic books, and digitized primary sources are available remotely to Tufts' current students, faculty, and staff from anywhere in the world.

Follow links in JumboSearch, the Tufts Library Catalog, to use the online content.

When you are off-campus, sign in with your Tufts username and password, or use the Tufts VPN AnyConnect application.

Contact us if you encounter any difficulty gaining access to resources remotely.

Reserve books and course readings

Library staff are working to get all required course readings from print books scanned and uploaded to Canvas. Please check your Canvas course site to see if a reading has been uploaded, and JumboSearch, the library catalog, to see if it is available in electronic format.

Requesting library materials

You can request a chapter of a print book to be scanned by library staff and sent to you as a PDF. Please use ILLiad to send us your requests.

You can view electronic content in the library collection by searching JumboSearch, the library catalog, and following the links in the results.
